IETP Annual Review 2020 & 2021 is now available

Celebrating significant growth and development at the ICTI Ethical Toy ProgramThe last two years have been challenging for global supply chains and for the individuals involved on every level of supply chain operations. Throughout these unprecedented times, we continued to develop and grow our program to make a difference to the lives of supply chain workers all over the world. We updated our assessments, certification and training programs, added new capabilities, launched Remediation, and expanded the reach of our Worker Helpline and worker well-being programs. In 2020, we celebrated 10 years of operating our Worker Helpline. Since launching the Helpline in 2010, we have supported more than 20,000 workers, successfully managing 20,362 individual cases by the end of 2021. We also expanded the reach of our Helpline at the beginning of 2020 to cover Vietnam and will continue to grow this service to meet the needs of workers all around the world. We launched our Remediation program at the beginning of 2020. The program builds capability in factories and works with factories to eliminate non-compliances permanently, preventing issues from repeating year after year. This same year, we also successfully launched our Social Impact Assessment. We continued to develop our Worker Well-Being programs including Family-Friendly Spaces, After-School Centers & Migrant-Parent Training in both 2020 & 2021. Due to travel restrictions, many families were separated for even longer periods of time, our Migrant-Parent Training program helped 1,284 workers, giving them the tools to manage and better succeed in at-distance parenting. Thanks to our technology investment program, we made enhancements to our website and Connect platform to improve functionality and overall user experience.Since our last report, we have welcomed 4 new members to our Governing Board, all with different industry backgrounds and perspectives. This report shares, in detail, IETP’s achievements over the past two years and looks ahead at our priorities as we continue work to improve conditions and raise standards for more workers across a wider range of countries and sectors
