Introducing Marketplace – the new exchange forum now live on ESCP’s Connect Platform

This week, we rolled out a big and brand-new development to our Connect Platform – Marketplace. Marketplace is a forum in which buyers and suppliers can exchange requirements and capabilities. The new update further enhances transparency and streamlines the sourcing process while improving visibility and new order pipeline development for suppliers.

What does Marketplace look like for Suppliers?

Within Marketplace, suppliers can showcase their capabilities directly to prospective buyers – with photos, video reels and capacity information spotlighted. Suppliers are also able to browse Marketplace to see order requirements and specific sourcing needs posted by Buyers and contact them directly if they are able to fulfil these requirements.
‍

Marketplace enhances transparency, removing the need for connection for a factory to be visible to prospective customers – current audit status is shared, but no audit reports or confidential data are shared in the forum.
‍

Not all facilities will be automatically listed in Marketplace, to make sure your supplier is included, please log in to Connect find ‘Marketplace’ within the left-hand navigation bar and click “Create/Edit Factory Profile”.
‍

We encourage suppliers to log into Connect today to explore Marketplace and update their profiles – adding any imagery, promotional videos and other key information to help your profile stand out.

What does Marketplace look like for Buyers?

Buyers can share their order requirements directly with all facilities in the ESCP community – avoiding the approval process of connecting with a supplier, which will save you time and resource.
‍

Marketplace streamlines the sourcing process, enhancing the visibility of suppliers in the Ethical Supply Chain Program – search by country, industry, or product category to find the perfect supplier to meet your needs.
‍

Buyers can view the current audit status of a supplier, the expiry date of this status as well as their location, industry and product capability. This improves transparency and reduces time waiting for connection – buyers can directly email suppliers to learn more about their capabilities through Marketplace.

Factories listed on Marketplace will have basic information automatically shared, factories are required to claim their profile in order to share imagery, videos and other key information.
‍

We encourage Buyers to log into Connect today to explore Marketplace, share any product requirements you may have and browse supplier capability.
