The Gender Equality program was developed in response to the needs of manufacturing workers. Initial program development was funded by program member, Mattel. In 2022, the program was piloted at 12 factories in mainland China.

We are delighted to announce that this summer we are operating more FFS than ever before at 18 factories which will accommodate 691 children, allowing 788 parents to be reunited with their children for the summer.

This paper shares the findings of a joint worker survey conducted from October 2021 – March 2023 in labor-intensive manufacturing facilities in exporting countries. The project was a collaboration of six nonprofit social compliance organizations. Workers surveyed worked primarily in Bangladesh, Vietnam, India, Italy, and Turkey.
